The 9thWonder LA team is looking for a Paid Search Strategist to share in our passion for creating work that unearths a compelling difference in brands. You are a tactician who ensures that search marketing programs are developed with business goals in mind, flawlessly executed, and making sure to exceed our clients' goals. You are an analytical and creative thinker who has an eye for detail and an obsession with delivering on results.

As the Paid Search Strategist, you:

  • Are with strong strategic and analytical skills, and in-depth knowledge of paid search.
  • Love working with numbers and large amounts of data.
  • Have experience working on campaigns with a crucial role in making clients more successful and growing relationships with them.
  • Will be responsible for leading paid search campaigns within Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Yahoo and drive strategic direction to achieve clients' lead, revenue, budget, and other important metric goals.
  • Will monitor campaign monthly budgets, audit campaign performance, tracking, pacing, and settings and work with analysts and developers to ensure all landing pages, monitoring & tagging are correct.
  • Deep understanding of keyword research, keyword expansions, ad copy creation, ad copy execution, bid changes, campaign performance tracking and reporting, A/B testing, analysis.
  • Lead analysis and resolve trends using past performance data as well as industry data, gain insight and develop strategy and recommendations to take advantage of the insights.

The ideal Paid Search Strategist has:

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience, preferably in an agency.
  • Have 1-2 years of working knowledge or experience with paid social strategy, SEM, buying, and optimization
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel features is preferred (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, and statistical analysis).
  • Experience with re-marketing and metrics-driven multi-channel digital display campaigns.
  • Experience with franchise business models.
  • Proficiency of bid management tools, Adobe Site Catalyst, Adobe Media Optimizer, Search Ads 360, Marin, Kenshoo, Acquisio a plus.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of key search platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads & Yahoo Gemini), including varying approaches to account setup and structures. Google Ads Certification a plus.
  • Previous experience with strategy development, campaign building, account restructuring, expansion, optimization, testing, and experimentation. Provides QA of campaigns before launch.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the clients paid search marketing initiatives. Run Search Engine budgets & IOs.
  • Pre- and post-launch account review.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, yield well-informed interpretation, and develop action plans based on findings.
  • Highly organized campaign/timeline management and has strong attention to detail.
  • Shown the ability to build and implement effective RLSA strategies.
  • Comfortable using SpyFu, SEMRush, Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, etc. and experience with scripts a plus.
  • Understand conversion tracking, optimization, and A/B testing.
  • Experience with handling budgets over $12MM in paid search annually.
  • Experience working in B2B+B2C on branding and direct response.
  • Experience supervising and driving action and cross-functional teams that work in a collaborative environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and management skills.
