This position is tasked with providing Primary and/ or Secondary marketing research and analytics to drive great product design and innovation for the product teams within the Diabetes Care division. This person will provide direction and input to support product managers, developers and designers. Ability to obtain deep understanding about users behaviors and attitudes, draw relevant business insights and communicate insights in an impactful manner will drive success within this position. Reports directly to the Market Research Manager or Director.
Partners with Product Marketing and R&D to identify research and analysis needs. Design appropriate research and analysis plans based on understanding of UX primary research and analytical techniques. Strong organization skills needed to manage research supplier(s) on cost, timing, appropriateness of research methodology, and actionability of conclusions. Analyze and synthesize learnings from research and analysis, drawing conclusions that provide recommendations to business teams. Distill complex qualitative and quantitative data into clear, concise communication to diverse audiences. Independently seeks and leverages market research and analysis peers and leaders, business partners and external vendors to ensure strong analysis and sound recommendations. Exhibits strong analytic abilities in breaking down issues and developing solutions. Translates results into clear, concise presentations and written reports, enabling marketing, innovation and R&D to quickly make design and development decisions. Displays a positive, solution-based approach to all research issues and ability to work in teams.
Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
5+ years working experience in user research field in industries such as Technology, Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals or similar industries. Experience with secondary data analytics is preferred. Experience with relational databases and programming is a plus.
