Academy of Art University seeks a PR Social Media Coordinator to support the School of Fashion. The PR Social Media Coordinator will develop and publish social media campaigns, manage relationships with press connections, assist in producing special events and directly support members of the executive team at the School of Fashion. This position is located at 625 Polk Street in downtown San Francisco.

Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available outside the typical core hours as needed.


Your responsibilities include:

Producing and curating social media content and campaigns for the School of Fashion

Collaborating with the Director of Public Relations & Special Events to create press releases

Building and maintaining relationships with editorial connections within the Fashion industry

Representing the School of Fashion and Academy of Art University at a variety of special events


What you bring:

At least three years of related professional experience in the Fashion or Retail industry

Expertise in social media marketing strategies and tools (such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Buffr, Hootsuite)

Great communication skills, written and verbal

Ability to collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds

Time management skills and ability to navigate competing priorities

Proactive attitude and ability to excel in dynamic environments

Proficiency in Excel


Preferred skills

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Fashion or related major

Experience with data migration, implementation or administration of a CRM in a previous work place
