SUMMARY The Data Compliance Manager plays an important role in supporting the effective execution of the global ANSYS Privacy program, including design, development, and ensuring completion of key cross-functional initiatives on the Privacy team's roadmap. The Data Compliance Manager will actively support both continuous improvement efforts through long and short-term initiatives and maintaining compliance with the company's legal and regulatory requirements. The scope of responsibility for this role will apply to coordinating efforts across the complete data life-cycle (data collection, data integrity, data management, data transfers, documentation requirements, and data deletion) for those projects within the purview of the Privacy program. The Data Compliance Manager will work directly with technical leads, business stakeholders, and project leads to provide guidance and best practices for data management. Together with the Privacy team, this role will design and implement policies and procedures for programmatically addressing any compliance risks while also ensuring adequate and accurate documentation of data processing activities, as required for regulatory compliance. This role will report to the Global Director of Data Privacy, which sits within the company's Legal department. While the efforts of the Data Compliance Manager will directly align to the Privacy program, the responsibilities for the role will apply to various cross-functional working groups of which Privacy is a stakeholder.RESPONSIBILITIES Collects, interprets, refines, and records data in accordance with company's guidelines and standards Performs data validation on an on-going basis to ensure consistency and accuracy Maintains databases and files to comply with company standards and preserve data integrity Establishes procedures for data sharing and coordinates stakeholder access to relevant data sets in accordance with these procedures Reviews and maintains project documents on various initiatives and data processing activities across the organization Participates in Privacy and Security projects to drive continuous improvement or risk mitigation efforts and may drive key data collection and documentation components of such projects Creates streamlined data collection, data analysis, and documentation procedures to efficiently intake, validate, and record system inventory, data mapping, and data flow diagrams across functions Enforces policies and procedures for effective data management and communicates changes in data processing or documentation requirements Develops and transmits/communicates data reports and project progress reports as needed Updates internal company websites with data processing documentation, templates, and guidelines for data usage and controls Assists teams across the organization with the collection and accurate documentation of data processing activities for the purposes of data privacy impact assessments, data subject requests, and internal data mapping requirements Develops and delivers training and/or guidelines for company's data management policies and procedures Provides data management updates in internal and external meetings as required, including through the development of presentations and reports Analyzes data for quality improvement purposes and recommends and refines data collection procedures and documentation methods/formats Ensures data management procedures comply with company policies and regulatory requirements Prepares and submits data required for audits and assessments, investigations, any external complaints or requests, and data breach notifications Facilitates requests for transfer, sharing, modification, or production of personal data while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements Identifies and escalates data compliance issues to the company's DPO Maintains close relationships with key stakeholder leads within each function and participates in working groups to provide data management and compliance guidance throughout the projectMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree A minimum of 5 years direct experience developing and executing a data management program, including setting priorities and driving for results across simultaneous initiatives A minimum of 3 years direct experience maintaining detailed program documentation or data sets and developing and delivering data metrics and/or reporting capabilities Strong understanding of and experience working with various types of technologies used for data management, such as tracking of system inventories, use of SaaS solutions for maintaining data processing logs, and use of functionalities for e-Discovery and maintain SharePoint repositories; ability to quickly learn and utilize technologies, as needed Experience collaborating as part of cross-functional, global teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to focus on details with big picture perspective and to deploy a pragmatic approach to long-term versus short-term resolution and/or risk mitigation efforts that align with the overall Privacy program objectives Able to work independently and take initiative to actively drive project completion and data management tasks across teams Excellent oral and written communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and requirements, including GDPR and CCPA, as well as some familiarity with data security/integrity frameworks, such as NIST, BSIMM, or ISO Direct experience using project management concepts, processes, practices, and procedures Proven track record of consistently meeting goals and objectives while balancing project priorities and timelines of competing projects Experience designing processes and procedures, developing templates and metrics, and training others on the same Able to communicate technical issues in a non-technical manner to a diverse audienceCULTURE AND VALUES Culture and values are incredibly important to ANSYS.
