The hiring manager will determine the level based upon the selected applicant's skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position. This position is a Data Analysis role. Once the data have been collected or extracted, the analyst analyzes the data to identify trends, patterns and relationships in the data that provide answers to questions posed by managers and administrators. Need to be able to operate SQL and Excel at a proficient level. Clinical experience a plus. Areas of investigation will be on HEDIS quality measures, disease conditions like asthma, sickle cell; diabetes etc. data analysis related to OB will also be included. Knowledge of statistical concepts a plus. The analyst will help with population health analysis, projects related to healthcare quality and/or disease management and development of models that will help in identifying members who can potentially have an adverse event and also projects related with better member care. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: + Interface with clients to understand client requirements for the project + Extract and format data, mine to answer specific business questions + Identify and evaluate the relationships between data fields and outcomes + Investigate, define and resolve data and result in consistencies + Communicate project results in the clients business context + Seek client feedback after each delivery and learn and apply insights on subsequent projects + Help to create databases/data marts + Conducting statistical tests of significance and correlation analysis + Identifying factors that lead to better program outcomes and help to develop statistical models + Help create decision trees, heat maps + Requires a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field, biostatistics, or a related field + 2-4+ years of related Analytics experience with focus on problem solving and advanced analytics solutions or relevant education in this area. + Proficiency with SQL, Excel, statistical tools strongly preferred. + Knowledge of healthcare Quality measures preferred. + Excellent written and verbal communication + Good analytical and problem solving skills + Attention to detail and passion for accuracy **_Anthem, Inc. is ranked as one of Americas Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2018 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
