Collaborates with Enterprise Marketing Hub team members and project owners to help optimize the integration of content for digital marketing materials. As a member of the digital creative team, this position works with the project implementation team and product owners to understand themes and objectives for assignments, target audiences and desired outcomes in order to create on-brand, on-strategy compelling creative work.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with project description specifications, editing grammar and punctuation, writing style, content accuracy and department requirements.
Collaborates, consults and actively participates in new idea generation, brainstorming concepts, and making recommendations for creative ways to accomplish goals within the digital creative team.
Collaborates with video producers and designers to develop content for digital channels.
Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with team members, project managers, creative resources such as the design team, video content producers, and other constituencies to accomplish project goals and content needs.
Conceives and produces original optimized content including website copy, email copy, social media copy, and app content to drive brand affinity and a reputation for excellence for ASU.
Works within a workflow schedule for each project and collaborates the movement of the content development, design, delivery, and production.
Produces and edits web-based, SEO- friendly content to enhance visibility across search engines.
Creates optimized copy for all digital channels to drive interaction and engagement that supports student recruitment and branding goals.
Understands the use of segments and personas as it applies to digital content creation.
Builds and distributes emails through SalesForce Marketing Cloud.
Edits or rewrites existing copy; reads and proofs materials for accuracy, style, and readability, recommending changes where necessary.
Develops a deep knowledge of ASU alumni segments and is able to effectively speak to, inspire and engage individuals to take action.
Understands effective audience journeys (that utilize automation techniques) and crafts variable content that delivers the right message, to the right person at the right time. Research best practices and emerging trends. Assists in the development and execution of Email marketing and Chapter Newsletters.
Uses SEO best practices and follows the evolving search landscape as it relates to content. Effectively translates that knowledge to create optimized meta-data, titles, Hash tags, alt tags and messaging that includes optimal keyword integration.
Reviews marketing plans and applies them to the creation of digital content. Tracks performance on a daily basis and seeks methods to optimize the performance .
Tracks routine activities and reports progress through project management system, project reporting and provide updates in meeting and presentation formats.
May supervise the work of students.

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or closely related field and one year of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Experience directly curating and repackaging multimedia content and distributing it through digital channels, including email distribution.
Evidence of effective verbal and written communication and copywriting skills. Knowledge of AP style preferred.
Experience creating and maintaining complex marketing calendars, journey maps and documented processes that account of a high use of audience segmentation, blocks of dynamic content.
Demonstrated knowledge of email best practices and requirements. Ability to ensure email marketing efforts comply with national and international email marketing standards and practices including the CAN-SPAM Act and university privacy and security policies.
Experience applying standard content testing practices (A/B, multivariate) and applying findings to optimize creative.
Experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Slides, project management systems.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable email and customer relationship management strategies.
Ability to think strategically, holistically, and articulate how to best engage with key constituencies throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Ability to interpret a brand platform, design and content standards, strategic communication plans and marketing research and apply them to a creative execution in digital channels.
Experience in using presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and experience successfully managing multiple, high-priority projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
Experience in using accuracy, organizational, self-motivation and adaptability skills
