Integrated Health Team manager


The Integrated Health Team manager for the Americas is part of the Total health and Network - International Markets Clinical team. He/she will lead a team of 20 individuals (and growing), managing the daily operation, comprised of pre-authorizations and direct payments, allied to the Clinical programs. The manager motivates individuals and team collectively to achieve agreed work output targets covering productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, with activities ranging from medical review, case coordination and case management processes.

He/she recommends and implements innovative strategies by proactively identifying improvement/enhancement opportunities, seeking and sharing ideas for innovation in business processes across operations. The individual constantly optimizes workflows based on ideal clinical triggers; Optimizes case management process and outcome; and ensures insight into the clinical aspects of the cases by bridging gaps in medical knowledge, as well as foreseeing basic medical training when needed.

The manager ensures that strong engagement exists across the unit and with own direct reports, including day to day oversight, motivation, conflict management, training, wellbeing and performance. He/she leads appropriate performance management action, timely recruitment and effective succession planning is in place. The individual supports/maintains current and effective capacity plans, keeping oversight of staff level requirements and anticipate shifts/upcoming changes, proactively addressing and/or escalating any foreseen risks.

The expectation as well is for the individual to develop/maintain proactive/effective business relationships, both internally and externally, to ensure a seamless service delivery. He/she actively encourages all team members to do likewise. The manager also produces insightful and accurate management reports, containing critical data analysis including trending and enhancement activities with quantification of operational impacts.


+ Experience with Operations within the Insurance and/or healthcare services sector

+ Experienced Registered Nurse. Extra graduation is a plus.

+ Minimum of two years prior management experience

+ Active language knowledge of at least Spanish & English, additional language skills in Portuguese/French/Others are a plus.

+ Experience in coaching, managing, developing and motivating individuals

+ Experience in complaint management / conflict management

+ Experience with Change management

+ Excellent interpersonal skills

+ Negotiation and influencing skills

+ Perseverance / resilience

+ Action-orientated problem-solving skills

+ Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills

+ Able to seek out best practice in order to effectively manage diverse, complex and highly sensitive issues

+ Results orientation - ability to define goals, establish plans and manage work to achieve desired outcomes. Creates meaningful business related metrics and tracks progress/results.

+ Must have accountability - assumes ownership for daily operations, issues, achieving personal results and collective goals
