Coordinates departmental activities including work scope evaluations, development of schedules, resource loading, execution of work activities and subsequent evaluations. Works effectively with the management team setting priorities, allocating resources, and driving to operational excellence.
* Responsible for the daily administration of the Corrective Action Program, Assessment and Benchmark Program, and the Trending Program to meet or exceed industry standards of excellence. * Develops the departmental training plan and budget. * Meets with multi-discipline teams to develop schedules to reduce backlogs and support other departments, as required. * Provides oversight of Maintenance Corrective Action and Assessment processes. Monitors for quality, completeness and timeliness. * Provides feedback to improve work processes. Observes and ensures compliance with procedures and policies. * Assists in the development of the departmental budget. Communicates technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. Assesses conditions and makes decisions under pressure and time constraints. Qualifies and maintains FLS qualification and performs FLS duties. * Performs First Line Supervisor duties. Performs field observations of personnel to reinforce standards and expectations and identify gaps in performance. Works with management to identify and address performance deficiencies. Recommends and implements actions to improve gaps to operational excellence. * Responds to Incident Forms and attends MARC meetings, as required. Participates in the shared resources program. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S./B.A. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience
Desired: 2 years applicable CAP experience
Minimum experience required of the position
5 years commercial or military nuclear work experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
Proficiency with current computer business applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and PCRS.
Familiar with industry recognized root cause analysis methods and techniques.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
SRO or certification on BWR or PWR (desired).
