The Executive Director is a key member of the Analytics team and is responsible for the oversight and preparation of data analysis materials and deliverables required as part of each client engagement. The person in this role will be responsible for the database technology and reporting systems used to deliver the firms array of analytical products and services for the philanthropic sector. S/he will coordinate training for the team, as well as necessary system scaling to allow for the development of new products and services in a growing market.
The Executive Director will work closely with consulting and other staff in maintaining the firm?s reputation for the highest quality work product and client service.
Lead technical calls with clients regarding data input file requirements and data processing details
Oversee the processing and at times, help process client data files in a timely fashion with the highest quality, including evaluation, cleansing, and reformatting as required
Analyze results of screening and modeling processes and prepare insightful reports and presentations based on the results
Design and conduct quality assurance reviews of all deliverables ensuring all client products are of the highest value
Proactively ideate new product ideas and new ways to buttress current products
Database and Reporting
Evaluate and optimize current database model, including by not limited to data extraction and loading, transformation, coding, storage, and reporting
Implement automated and self-service report production of standard reports
Develop and deliver training materials for using self-service functions
Monitor operational status of the technology infrastructure for all products and services
Coordinate supervision with other Analytics Operations staff, including goal setting, coaching and feedback
Train Analytics Operations staff on data processing, data quality, security best practices, and data visualization
Lead and co-lead Analytics Operations meetings
Bachelor?s degree required
5+ years of experience with business intelligence, analytics, and predictive modeling
Proficiency in database management, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and reporting tools
Experience in managing cloud-based database architecture, such as Amazon RDS or Microsoft Azure.
Data visualization experience such as Tableau or Microsoft BI is required
Excellent communications skills in client facing role
Data Science experience is a requirement
Experience in a fundraising office or Advancement Services role a plus
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands. Ability to prioritize workload.
Experience in higher education and other nonprofit institutions
