Interlude Coffee & Tea is a new cafe located in TriBeCa that serves specialty coffee, matcha, tea, and in-house baked pastries. We are looking to hire a baking/food prep assistant with unparalleled work ethic, passion, and attention to detail. We bake everything in-house from scratch, and would like to continue expanding the menu with your help!

This is an entry level position, with shifts that can start as early at 5:30am. You do need to have a willing and eager attitude to learn.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Baking of pastries
-Preparation of batters, doughs, components
-Preparation of food menu
-Ensuring completion of daily offerings
-Managing stock
-Traveling within the city to pick up ingredients
-Dishwashing and meticulous cleaning to maintain a sanitary work environment

Requirements:
-Availability to work early mornings and weekends
-Ability to follow recipes exactly as they are written for consistency
-Willingness to take direction and accept constructive criticism
-Be focused and punctual
-Energetic, self motivated, and organized
-Have a good and positive attitude
-Flexibility in scheduling
-Basic baking/pastry technique

-Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods of time

-A NYC Food Handlers Certificate
