The Director of HRIS is responsible for all phases of HRIS data management and oversees the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and all other supporting HRIS systems, as well as how these systems interface with other third-party systems/solutions. This position will also plan and direct ongoing HRIS administration to support short- and long-range goals.
* Serves as the HR process leader by providing subject-matter expertise, training and support of business systems supporting HR. * Partners with HR staff and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage HR capabilities. * Provides feedback, identifies trends, troubleshoots, problem solves and analyzes various operational issues, procedures and policies thus improving organizational and department effectiveness.
* Researches and resolves system and dept. problems, unexpected results or process improvement opportunities, recommending solutions or alternative methods. * Writes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting and presentation tools. * Assists in the development of standard reports. Helps maintain data integrity by analyzing data. * Works with functional and technical staff to review, test and implement system upgrades, patches, fixes and maintenance. * Oversees the maintenance of HRIS system tables. * Documents process and results. * Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes; works with customers and peers to accomplish project goals. * Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation. * Trains HR staff and customers on HRIS, processes and procedures. * Maintains awareness of current trends and developments in HR and technology. * Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
