The position is Control Manager overseeing the control environment in CCB Marketing & Communications' Chief Media Office. The organization is a new one, bringing together teams previously from other organizations into one single group. The group is responsible for ensuring our customers get the \"One Chase\" experience in terms of how we communicate and market to them. The organization comprises teams responsible for the execution and implementation of Paid and Owned Media, Personalization, Execution, Transformational Roadmap activities and Governance, including a centralized team dedicated to continuous improvement and executional efficiency.



**Control Management (CM)** maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.



Control Management focuses on four areas:



1) Control design and expertise



2) Risks and controls identification/assessment



3) Control breaks and resolution



4) Control governance & reporting



**Role Responsibilities:**



+ Manage control-related activities, including risk and control self-assessments, risk event data occurrences, and new business initiatives and provide control related due diligence to business units to foster a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols

+ Partner effectively with colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices and Control programs including: control committees, risk mitigation, key risk indicators, control design and effectiveness evaluation/testing

+ Help establish control governance and reporting to identify meaningful metrics to inform on health of operational risk and control environment; escalate control breaks based on key reporting indicators; and manage control committees and forums.

+ Provide control advisory into marketing transformational activities, including oversight of test and learn capabilities, be a conduit of information flow to other impacted control organizations within CCB, and to establish control standards that will need to be implemented by other groups.

+ Manage and motivate a team including providing on-going feedback and training to develop employees on risk concepts and the application to risk and control evaluation.

+ Lead by example, with exemplary personal and professional attributes.Inspire confidence in all levels of staff as well as key partners from other functional areas and across Lines of Business








































**Qualifications:**









+ Bachelor's degree or equivalentexperience required

+ 10+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliancepreferred

+ Experience leading broadcross-functional teams to analyze, design, and deliver best practices

+ Demonstrate confidentleadership and sound judgment to influence a strong culture and risk management

+ Proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) with the ability to developcompelling and meaningful executive presentations that will drive opportunities/ recommendation for improvement

+ Knowledge of Card operations, marketingoperations and the Agile methodology/framework is a plus for the role includingparticipation in Scrum teams a plus
