Position Summary The English Language Institute in the School of Professional Studies is seeking an administrator to develop and implement administrative systems, policies and procedures to ensure timely completion of administrative tasks and effective communication between faculty and staff. Other responsibilities include: create processes and systems for various functions including registration, testing, visa applications, faculty assignments and scheduling and classroom assignments. Manage course scheduling, room assignments and updating of the academic planning database. Manage faculty hiring, orientation, reappointment, evaluation and promotion processes. Assist with program marketing and serve as liaison with the SPS Office of Strategic Marketing and Communication regarding the production of marketing materials. Manage administrative, student and faculty services for the efficient delivery of classroom and student support. Serve as a member of the Institute s leadership team and participate in strategic planning and the development and implementation of new sites. Supervise professional and office support staff. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor s degree and Preferred Education: Advanced degree in higher education administration, international education,or public policy or a related field. Required Experience: 5 years experience in higher education administration managing activities or services to students and/or faculty Preferred Experience: Experience working with international students. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated success creating efficient systems, supervising staff, motivating others to succeed, and good collaborative skills. Excellent organizational and problem solving abilities, creative and interpersonal skills required to work well within a team. Ability to work with databases and use spreadsheet software.
