Position SummaryPerform diagnostic evaluations, skilled maintenance and repairs on moderately complex related equipment and parts. Serve as a resource to junior technical support staff in the maintenance and repair of equipment and assist with training. Monitor daily operations for assigned area of operation including coordinating work schedules. Conduct technical seminars, workshops and individual training for students, faculty and staff on proper use of related equipment. Consult with students and faculty on a variety of production needs including instruction in operation of analog and digital equipment. Maintain facility inventory and security.Qualifications Required Education: High School diploma and some relevant technical training or equivalent. Preferred Education: Relevant certification. Required Experience: 2-3 years of related experience. Experience providing customer support in an academic and/or production-related environment. Experience in an equipment repair facility. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to operate a wide variety of related equipment. Skilled at troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs. Ability to train others to use equipment.
