The Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), IT organization is currently seeking a IT Program Lead Section Manager for our Seapower Business Area to lead a dispersed team of IT Proposal and Program Leads that are located in Portsmouth RI, Marlborough MA, St. Petersburg FL, and San Diego CA. Our IT organization ensures that Raytheon teammates across the globe are able to communicate, collaborate and innovate for customer success. We create and enable the use of leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats, protect the integrity of our systems and support Raytheon s IT infrastructures around the world. As the IT Section Manager for Seapower Capability Systems for IDS multi-site locations, you will lead a highly effective team of IT Program Leads that are responsible for the program execution on a wide portfolio of programs dispersed across multiple sites. This position will serve as the primary IT point of contact for Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Program Management teams focused on Seapower Capability Systems and be prepared to support any related proposal support and cost estimating for any new captures and pursuits. Our IT managers support and monitor program execution, collaborate across the IT organization while bringing solutions and project management expertise to a program requiring IT participation. You will proactively bring IT value and actively close gaps and inform those programs or external entities not aware of the value added. You will define the scope and charter of a new section of IT Program Leads. In this role, you will have the responsibility for all aspects of people management including: staffing, staff development, training, tool and process development and deployment, and administration of performance appraisals. In this role you will be assisting in driving performance and encouraging program management best practices as they pertain to the IT scope of work. As a section manager you may also be required to take on new and innovative projects that will enable forward progress and value to the organization and to the business. Responsibilities Include: Assignment of projects and tasks Managing employee performance Administer time reporting and new hire training Recruiting, orientation and onboarding of new employees Working through the team, ensure the programs supported are getting what is needed while at the same time pulling data that is required by the organization (e.g. metrics) Proactive engagement with the program leadership teams being supported by and partnered with Working closely with the Business Partner Leads, Technical SMEs and Information Assurance and Security partner organizations for the area Review Bid Summary packages to ensure that bids are comprised of realistic estimates given the defined scope as well as identifying, documenting and managing the Risk and Opportunities. Act as a liaison to Subject Matter Experts across the IT organization to facilitate the sharing of solutions bringing value and cost efficiencies to the business. Prepare and submit weekly status and periodic progress reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership. Daily work location could be performed out of the Marlborough, MA or Portsmouth RI locations. Domestic or international travel may be required with locations: Portsmouth RI, Marlborough MA, St. Petersburg FL, and San Diego California Capped Relocation is available for the selected applicant if they are eligible per company policy. At the manager s discretion and to be discussed at the appropriate stage of our process. PLEASE NOTE - This position requires a US Dept. of Defense (DOD) Secret security clearance to be obtained within one year of start date. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US DOD Clearances. Required Skills: 10 total years of related professional experience, with 2+ years of specific experience in project management Strong written and oral communication skills Strong Collaborative skills Works well with ambiguities and defining plans and motivating teams Ability to work with limited supervision and technical direction Working knowledge of cyber security compliance Works well with technical and program management teams Solid understanding of Risk and Opportunity Management Experience leading teams preferably with IT Professionals Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
